Santa Ana Red Cross
Santa Ana, CA
December 10th, 2011
QuickStart and Microsoft were invited to volunteer at a local Santa Ana Red Cross event. This event was supporting local Santa Ana underprivileged children. Santa Ana School District teachers were allowed to nominate any student that they believed was not going to have a great holiday this year. Those students and their families were invited to this amazing event. There were about 800 total people invited to the event, and they had a blast at the carnival type festivities at the event. Several children walked away with more gifts than they could carry on their own, and two lucky children walked away with a new bicycle!
IAMCP Holiday Party + Boys and Girls Club
Sunday, December 4th, 2011
QuickStart and their partners within IAMCP SoCal (International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners) came together to help support the Boys & Girls Club and the Susan G Koman Foundation to donate toys and cash to help underprivileged children kick off the holiday season! As a collective group, we were able to donate over 100 toys and two Xboxes with Kinect to the Boys & Girls Club. Many of these children will not receive any gifts this year, so everything we were able to put together was greatly appreciated. Earlier in the year the Boys and Girls Club’s Xbox was stolen from the club and all of the kids were so disappointed. With the generous donations from IAMCP SoCal, the children now have two Xboxes with Kinect to enjoy in their facility.
