The dramatic rise in cyber crime and the emergence of related new legislative requirements point to the need for better means to protect digital information. Organizations need new ways to help safeguard sensitive information such as customer data, financial reports, product specifications, and confidential e-mail messages from intentionally or accidentally getting into the wrong hands.

Windows® Rights Management Services (RMS) for the Windows Server™ 2003 family is information protection technology that has been developed in response to these requirements and needs.

This specialized course provides detailed information on the deployment of Microsoft Windows Rights Management Services for protection of digital information, including features in Service Pack 1.

Topics also include interoperability between organizations, defining and deploying policies, and using applications included in the Rights Management Services Toolkit 1.0.
