The IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances course lets an enterprise to accelerate, simplify and enhance the security capabilities of its web service deployments and Extensible Markup Language (XML), and spread its service-oriented architecture (SOA) infrastructure’s capabilities
Users learn to implement the DataPower appliances’ key use cases through a combination of practical exercises and lectures led by instructors. This includes XML acceleration and threat protection, web services security, web service virtualization, integration with WebSphere Java Message Service (JMS) and IBM WebSphere MQ, as well as authentication, authorization, and auditing (AAA). They also learn to use problem determination tools like probes, monitors, and logs, along with techniques that test handling errors and DataPower services. Practical exercises provide users with the experience of directly working with the IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance. These exercises build skills like working with cryptographic and encryption objects, creating XML firewalls, handling errors, troubleshooting services and configuring service level monitoring.
