QuickStart’s Not-So-Secret Weapon – Our Instructors
What helps a training institute set itself apart from the rest of the competition?
Is it the facility, the labs, the courses, or the faculty?
In the world of online education, anyone can have access to course materials and a high-speed internet connection. You can always go to different educational forums and find answers to questions, you can learn by trial and error, and you can learn by watching how-to videos and reading course material. Virtually, you can do it all on your own, but when you set out on your journey for higher education and technical training, you will soon find yourself in need of a teacher — someone to look up to, someone to learn from — and that’s when you realize the importance of the often unsung heroes of our society: our teachers.
At QuickStart, we consider our instructors to be the backbone of the entire organization. As an IT training institute, we are only as good as the teachers we have, and that is why we have focused on building a team of highly qualified and talented individuals who know how to inspire the learners.
In our most recent survey, our students rated our instructors a whopping 8.5 out of 9. This goes to show the amount of work our instructors are putting in to connect with the learners and make sure they get the guidance they need to acquire the certifications they want.
"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." — William Arthur Ward
Jeff Rathjen, the Senior Principal instructor at QuickStart, says, “I have been teaching Microsoft technical classes since 1990. Over the last two and a half decades, I have seen a number of changes in terms of technology when it comes to online learning, but the underlying principles remain the same. The fact that you are not physically present in the room with the student should not hinder your ability to connect with them, guide them, and inspire them.”
"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn."— Benjamin Franklin
Azhar Khuwaja, one of our most prized IT Skills Instructors, recently received a heartwarming email from a student, thanking him for the role he played in helping the student get an ITIL certification.
"Teaching is not only a profession to me, it is a passion that individuals pursue for the rest of their lives. It involves creativity, patience, expertise, compassion, energy, positivity, love, and empathy. You are constantly learning new skills and are challenged every day in terms of your knowledge, skills, education, experience and exposure. People look to you for advice and guidance and their "Thank You" mean a lot to you.”
He further added, “As a technology instructor, you come across a variety of students in terms of age, background, qualification, culture and experiences. Often, I work with students who are depressed due to the lack of certain skills and the consequent work related struggles. You are their only hope, and they are expect everything from you in order to narrow down gaps in their skills and knowledge for finding suitable work. I used to work as an instructor in a Canadian college where most of my students were sponsored by the Canadian government so that they could acquire the necessary skills and knowledge in order to find work. I learned the art of motivation there from my senior instructors, who taught me that it is not just about teaching skills and sharing knowledge but it is also about motivating students so that they start believing in themselves. Once they do that, they will achieve whatever they want to. So a teacher is also expected to be a great motivator along with being a role model.”
“I love my work as Instructor at QuickStart where I am applying all my experience, education, knowledge, and skills which I acquired from different parts of the world.” He added, “There is no better feeling than that look of a happiness on my student's face once they achieve their goals."
So if you are looking for a reliable IT training provider, you should be looking for a company like QuickStart, where we have people like Jeff and Azhar who will make learning a great experience for you.
