In this type of analysis, both kinds of variables are involved and there can be three different combinations, such as:

  • Both variables can be qualitative.
  • One variable can be qualitative and the other can be quantitative.
  • Both variables can be quantitative.

Now in this kind of scenario, the investigators must opt for a few more steps because it involves more than one variable. Therefore, for a different set of variables, there are three different steps to conduct Descriptive Analysis.

  1. If both the variables are quantitative then the investigator must construct a table of contingency.
  2. If both variables are qualitative then the investigator must construct a scatter plot.
  3. If both the variables are different then the investigator first calculates the accurate values based on the qualitative virtues of the variable. Once the values are calculated then the investigator can plot a box-and-whisker of the figurative value.
