Prerequisite:
- Applicants should have at least five years of combined full-time paid job experience in two or all of the eight CISSP CBK areas. A bachelor's or regional variant or an additional certificate from the (ISC)2 official list would fulfill one year of experience needed. Education credit can fulfill just one year of job experience.
- A candidate who does not have the necessary experience of becoming a CISSP can become an Associate of (ISC)2 by finishing a CISSP exam. The Associate of (ISC)2 will have six years to obtain the five years of experience.
