This class is an introduction on automation using Chef. Students will cover how to install and configure Chef for a single Ubuntu machine, the core fundamentals of Chef, automating common system administration tasks in Chef and to control the state of the machine with Chef.

Students with knowledge of and experience in:

  • Basic knowledge of Bash Shell Scripting
  • Basic knowledge of Ubuntu Desktop
  • Programming experience is highly recommended, but not required
