This course is about the five essential components of Microsoft 365 platform namely, implementing Microsoft Identity, operating Microsoft Graph, extending and personalizing SharePoint, extending Teams, and extending Office. The course will teach about the method of implementing Microsoft Identity and operating Microsoft Graph. You will also learn about UI elements (including Adaptive Cards and UI Fabric), Integration Points (including Microsoft Teams, Office Add-ins, SharePoint Framework, Actionable Messages), and finding out the workload platform targets. Students will learn, in addition to implementing Microsoft identity, registering an application, implanting authentication, configuring permissions to consume an API, and creating a service to access Microsoft Graph. When operating Microsoft Graph, students will be taught on the ways to access user data, explore query parameters, regulate a group lifecycle, access files, and better out network traffic by using it. In extending and personalizing SharePoint, students will taught about different SharePoint Framework web parts, extensions, and ways of packaging and deploying a SPFx solution. In extending Teams, students will survey the components of a Teams App, work with webhooks, tabs, and conversational bots. In extending Office, students are taught to operate Office Add-ins, task pane add-ins, JavaScript APIs, Office UI Fabric, and actionable messages with adaptive cards.

The course is meant for the students who wish to learn about Microsoft 365 development platform or want to pass the Microsoft 365 Developer Associate certification exam. In order to take this course, students should additionally have 1-2 years of professional experience as a developer. This course has been designed with the presumption that the students are aware of coding and have a fundamental understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2, OData, OpenID Connect, Microsoft identities including Azure AD and Microsoft accounts, Azure AD B2C, and permission/consent concepts.
