This course will enable students to explore the world of data platform modernization, and ways in which it could be appropriate for different business requirements.

This course will take you through step by step process of data platform modernization and activities involved at every stage including the planning and assessment stages. Candidates will also get an opportunity to learn about the migration tools and where each of those tools is applicable.

Students will practice one three SQL based platforms; Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Databases and Azure SQL Database Managed Instances. You will learn about the advantages and limitations of all three target workloads and their applications in technology and business requirements.

Students will also learn how to make changes to the existing SQL applications so that they can leverage modern database platforms to their maximum potential.

  • Strong concepts of Data Platform Modernization
  • Selecting suitable tools for Data Migration
  • Migrate SQL Workloads to Azure Virtual Machines
  • Migrate SQL Workloads to Azure SQL Databases
