In this advanced level course students will get hands on instruction and practice administering Active Directory technologies in Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

About this course:

Windows Server is a brand name for a group of server operating systems released by Microsoft. It includes all Windows operating systems that are branded "Windows Server", but not any other Microsoft product. Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that Microsoft developed for Windows domain networks. It is included in most Windows Server operating systems as a set of processes and services. Initially, Active Directory was only in charge of centralized domain management. In this advanced level course students will get hands on instruction and practice administering Active Directory technologies in Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2. Students will learn the skills they need to better manage and protect data access and information, simplify deployment and management of your identity infrastructure, and provide more secure access to data. Students will learn how to configure some of the key features in Active Directory such as Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy, Dynamic Access Control (DAC), Work Folders, Work Place Join, Certificate Services, Rights Management Services (RMS), Federation Services, as well as integrating their on premise environment with cloud based technologies such as Windows Azure Active Directory.

The average salary for AD DS Administrator is $90,500 per year.
